Mr. B and I officially moved from London to Seattle and it appears we brought the rainy weather with us. Seattle had a beautiful summer, but fall has officially arrived! We still don’t have the keys to our new place yet, but the changing season has me dreaming of pumpkin decor and fall-toned throw blankets. Consider adding some cozy vibes to your home with affordable Halloween and fall decor that will have you on the sofa with a mug of spiced cider in no time!

Halloween and Fall Decor Tips

First thing’s first, a festive doormat will bring a smile to your face every time you walk into your home. A mat with a generic fall slogan is a good option that lasts all season long or if you’re feeling festive, select a cute halloween mat. Next, warm up your living room, kitchen, and bedroom with fall-colored accent pieces. Consider draping a burnt-orange throw blanket over your sofa or lighting a harvest spice scented candle on the kitchen counter. You can also complement these pieces with a warm-toned vase filled with dried pampas or wheat. Scattering pumpkins of different textures and colors throughout your home is another simple way to embrace the season. These foam pumpkins are an excellent style for decorating your dining room table! You can scatter them across an autumnal table runner with other accents (i.e. candles, acorns, etc.), or your can place them in a wicker basket and set it by your fireplace. Ceramic pumpkins in a variety of sizes and colors are also great for your countertops, bookshelves, in a display cabinet, or on a mantel. Don’t forget to keep some treats in a glass pumpkin cookie jar!

If you want to add a few BOO-tiful Halloween touches to your home, throw pillows are an easy way to spice things up. Hand towels are a great kitchen accent that are super easy to store once the festivities are over. Lastly, I love how these bats have been used to decorate for the spooky season! You can find some examples here and here!

I hope this Halloween and fall decor helps you get into the spirit of the season!
